Standards

Editorial policy

Every page on this site teaches something a student will one day act on. This is the standard each page is held to before it goes live, and what we refuse to publish at any price.

Who writes these pages

Bone Wizardry is built by physicians and medical students working from primary references and standard textbooks. A page begins as a specification that names the topic, the learning objectives, the questions a reader must be able to answer, and the source behind every clinical claim. Prose is written against that specification. No page is assembled from search results or from another study site.

What a page must contain before it publishes

What we will not publish

Independence

Bone Wizardry is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any licensing or examination board, medical school or residency program. We accept no payment to feature, rank or recommend any product, service, program or institution. Nothing on this site is advertising, and no clinical content is influenced by what a reader pays.

How pages change

Medicine moves and pages follow. When a guideline is revised, when a reviewer flags an error, or when a reader reports a mistake, the page is updated and the review date is reset. Substantive corrections are logged publicly. See the corrections page for how to report an error and what happens after you do.

Bone Wizardry is a study resource, not medical advice. Nothing here substitutes for the judgment of a licensed clinician or for the guidelines your program follows. If a page disagrees with your attending, your attending is the one standing in the room.
