Bone Wizardry (bonewizardry.com) respects intellectual-property rights and expects its users to do the same. This policy explains how to report content you believe infringes your copyright and how to respond if your content was removed. It supplements the Terms of Service; if there is any conflict, the Terms of Service control.
1. Reporting claimed infringement
If you are a copyright owner, or authorized to act for one, and you believe material on the site infringes your copyright, send a written notice to the email above that includes all of the following:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- Identification of the material you claim is infringing, with enough detail (such as the page URL) for us to locate it.
- Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf.
Incomplete notices may not be actionable. Knowingly submitting false or misleading copyright claims may expose you to liability.
2. Our response
When we receive a valid notice, we will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the material identified, and we may notify the user who posted or submitted it. We may also remove content at our discretion.
3. Counter-notice
If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the email above that includes:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, email address, telephone number, and mailing address, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate federal court and will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice or their agent.
If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the removed material unless the original complainant notifies us that they have filed a legal action seeking to prevent restoration.
4. Repeat infringers
We may, in appropriate circumstances and at our discretion, limit, suspend, or terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.
5. Third-party and externally hosted resources
The site may link to optional study resources hosted on independent third-party platforms that Bone Wizardry did not create, upload, or host and cannot modify or remove. For content that lives on a third-party platform, the fastest remedy is usually a notice to that platform's own host. We will, however, promptly remove any link from our site upon a valid notice.
6. Educational independence
Bone Wizardry is an independent educational resource for visual learning in the medical sciences. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any licensing board, examination board, school, or testing organization. Bone Wizardry does not contain real or recalled examination questions and does not guarantee any educational, licensing, or examination outcome.
